Meet the Owner

Terrill Hawkins is the founder and owner of D.E.M. Facilitators, LLC. A minority, Veteran- owned company, Licensed and Insured. The company is based out of Chevy Chase, Maryland but has branched out into several other districts and states.  

After serving in the United States Navy for several years, Terrill decided it was time for him to explore a different career path. He previously worked in construction before joining the military which made the transition into the permitting industry fairly easy for him. 

Working in the construction industry also gave him a keen insight into how the business works and how extensive the process is even before hiring a construction team. Coupled with his experiences in the Navy, Terrill has maintained the dedication, patience, and leadership skills he was taught. He equally utilizes these and many other skills when dealing with the many facets of permit expediting.

After the transition, Terrill worked for two very well known expediting companies located in Norfolk, Virginia and the District of Columbia for a number of years. Those experiences acted as a catalyst in his pursuit of starting his own company. 

Terrill is very eager to help others reach their goals. Those include, but are not limited to, getting a permit, obtaining a business license, or even doing extensive research for a project. He dedicates his time and effort into every single project that is brought to him. He prides himself in providing each of his clients a smooth and worthwhile experience!
